Munster Club Hurling Champions

Pride of place this week goes to our senior hurlers, who were crowned Munster Champions on Sunday at Páirc Uí Chaoimh (see match report). This was a first for our club and the joy of players, management and supporters was unbounded as team captain Padraic Maher received the Munster trophy-O’Neill Cup. Our top-scorer, Pa Bourke, received the Man of the Match award. Congratulations to the players, to Seamus Quinn and his management team. Well-done to the back-room team and to all who helped us to this historic milestone. A special thanks to Declan and our wonderful supporters who travelled to Cork and also to the huge attendance at the Welcome Home reception in our clubhouse on Sunday evening. In the All-Ireland semi-final, we will be meeting the Leinster champions, on February 9th 2013.

MID U/21 B HURLING FINAL

Hard luck to our U/21B hurlers who lost out to Upperchurch Drombane after extra time in last Saturdays Mid Final. They gave of their all but unfortunately came up short. Our thanks to the panel of players and team management for their efforts throughout a long campaign.
