FIXTURES
We have 4 teams in action this week.
Minor Hurling v Holycross/Ballycahill in Sarsfields pitch at 7.30pm on Thursday July 18th
Intermediate Championship v Grangemockler/Ballyneale in Ballingarry at 6pm on Saturday July 20th.
Juniors v Moyne-Templetuohy in Templetuohy at 6.30pm on Sunday July 20th.

GOOD LUCK
Best wishes to Aidan McCormack,Ronan Maher,Michael O Brien,Stephen Cahill  Michael Russell and the Tipperary U/21 and Intermediate teams who are in  Semi and Munster final action this week in Semple Stadium.

SUPPORTERS CLUB
Our Supporters Club are gearing up again for the 2013/2014 season.The officers and committee members would like to thank all our loyal members who have made the weekly club lotto a resounding success.The funds are a vital source of revenue to our club and with the new lotto being launched shortly,we look forward to the continued support of our members. New members are always welcome.To become a member please contact Garry Mernagh,Thomas Callanan or Ger Donnelly.

INTERNATIONAL HURLING FESTIVAL
We held our third annual International hurling festival last weekend.The club extended a warm welcome to locals and visitors alike for a great weekend of sport,music and above all a wonderful gathering.After all the planning  the event was a fantastic occasion and a resounding success for all concerned.The club were delighted to be at the helm  in organizing all the events as our contribution to the nationwide Gathering initiative.
The enthusiasm and enjoyment displayed by all the participants in the Caman Abu Recreational Hurling Tournament on Wednesday and Friday nights was clearly evident and worth all the hard work.Tescos and The Post Office were the winning teams with Larry Fogartys and Noel Ryans the runners up. They received their medals at a social evening immediately afterwards with music by the 'The Monks'. We were delighted to welcome Pat Daly and Mick Martin from the Croke Park Games Development Cttee to the event.
Earlier in the evening the representatives from the Rebel county carried off the Michael Cusack Cup for the second Annual Interprovincial Road Bowling Championship  held on  the Cormackstown Road.
In Saturdays glorious sunshine 16 hurling teams and for the first time 8 camogie teams battled it out in Dr Morris Park, Sarsfields pitch and St Patrick's College in the International Hurling and Camogie Festival.There was a feast of hurling to be seen at all the venues throughout the day.The winners were Causeway,Kerry(Semple Cup),runners up,Emeralds(Kilkenny);Setanta Dublin(Carew Cup),runners up Thurles Sarsfields and  Setanta Donegal(Culhane Cup), runners up Naomh Moninne(louth). Na Piarsaigh,Cork were the first winners of the Helen O Mara Cup for the inter club camogie tournament with Indianapolis the runners up.After the finals a celebration evening was held for all in the clubhouse. Tom Semple's daughter,Anne Gunning and Tony O Mara,Helen's son presented the Semple and O Mara Cups to the the winning Causeway and Na Piarsaigh teams.Club Chairman Michael Maher and Festival Chairman,John Enright presented the other trophies.
The weekends events did not happen by accident.We say thank you and well done to the organizing committee,spearheaded by their Chairman,John Enright, to the many club volunteers who were available throughout the week to liase with the visiting teams,organize and officiate at the caman abu,hurling and camogie games,organize the catering and entertainment. Thank you also to the local press;Tipp FM;photographer John O Loughlin;Thurles Town Council;Local knights of Malta;An Garda Siochana,the residents of Cormackstown Road;Cumann Luthchleas Gael,Croke Park,for their assistance with trophies,our match referees,all our local sponsors especially Lisheen Mines for their continued support,St Patrick's College,Tipperary County Board, Pat and David for making their facilities available to us.
We were delighted and honoured the Festival was selected as a Gathering event for North Tipperary.Our thanks to North Tipperary County Council especially Ms.Attracta Lyons,for her assistance.
We especially thank IPB Insurance as the main sponsor of the Festival. 
We hope the Festival was a worthy contribution to 'The Gathering 2013'.

GET WELL
We extend our best wishes for a speedy recovery to club stalwart,Jack Cooke who is recovering following a recent operation.

SYMPATHY
At our recent club meeting votes of sympathy were passed to the Coffey,Whelan,Sweeney,Cullagh and Doyle families.
